Production Supervisor

Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the safe, environmentally compliant, and efficient operation of the facility by the Operators assigned to his/her team.
Job Description

Directs and coordinates Operators in assigned areas to meet operating needs and the production plan.  Keep accurate records of all production, equipment hours, raw materials consumption and monitor public utilities. Develop work schedules to cover all shifts. Implement all Elementis safety management controls, programs and policies. Participate in HSE programs and engage Production employees in this program. Enforce safety, housekeeping and 5S standards. Perform all in process quality tests, monitor plant processes and keep statistical process control charts. Troubleshoot and report all equipment and process problems. Exemplify acceptable work habits and implement disciplinary actions. Plan and implement operational training. Assure all regulatory and refresher training is completed according to published plans and schedules.  Coordinate annual reviews of assigned procedures/policies, including Manufacturing Procedures, ensuring appropriate updates are captured for accuracy. Maintain qualifications and participate in emergency teams and activities including emergency first aid, CPR, fire protection, rescue and HAZMAT response.   Must be an effective communicator regarding plant operational conditions.

Physical Requirements_

Must be able to walk, climb stairs/ladders and wear personal protective equipment as required.  Must be able to wear a respirator.

General:

Work rotating shift to support 24 hours/day, 7 days/week operation.

Relationships With Outside Organizations_

Contact with vendors, customers and suppliers, Emergency Services, truck drivers, contract maintenance personnel, railroad personnel and authorized visitors.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge_

Minimum 5 years plant experience, or Associate Degree or higher in a Lab Science along with leadership experience.

The pay range for this role is $76,000 - 98,000.
